Pygostylia – a bird’s eye view is a performance about birds but without bird songs.
It is about the encounter between man and bird in the short film of Jöns Mellgren, about the human impact on the habitat of seabirds in Ida Lundén’s effort to make music out of stranded plastic garbage, and also about Ulrika Gunnarsdotter’s investigation of consumption in her scenography and conceptual costume.

Pygostylia is the name for all birds that has a pygostyle, or set of fused vertebrae at the end of the tail.
